Long time no blog

yea yea yea
I know it's been a while. It seems that it is so much easier to get online and read my friends blogs and then get off. So much easier than updating mine. Geez, you'd think that with three kids and husband I'd have more to write about. Oh, and more time on my hands! Well, I do have lots to write about but with my "psycho" self it just doesn't work that way.
So, for a quick update and another promise of keeping this darn thing on my daily to do list.
I've been trying to get myself more organized. I've filled my house with dry erase boards. Well, just three but I want more. They are my new favorite obsessions. I got my first board for Christmas from my sister. It is a month at a glance calendar board. I can have everything to do for the month right there on the board. It is awesome. I had to have more because I was running out of room to jot down notes and a grocery list. So I went and got another one! This one is just a blank board. My loving hubby went and bought a magnetic label maker so I can make all the magnet labels I can. It is even more awesome!!
Reading blogs on here is something I do almost daily. I've gone to my friends and gone to their readers and on and on. I've found some of the women on here have a menu plan monday thing going on. Well, I kept thinking about it and what a great idea it would be if I could do that. I've been wanting to get my grocery bill down to save money so I thought I'd try this. I made labels for board with the days of the weeks and then made labels of all the meals I make alot and some of the occasional meals. On Thursdays I get online and look at the ads for the three grocery stores I go to and find what is on sale this week and which stores have the better items. Then I figure out my meals for the week, write out my grocery list and go. Now, I do go to to or three different stores if I need to but it is totally worth it. When I started we were spending about $300-$400 every two weeks. Since doing the meal plan I've spent $90-$125 a week. I told myself I was only going to spend $100 max a week but seem to go over a little($124.69 was the most) on the weeks I have to buy extras like laundry soap, shampoo and such, toilet paper and so on. I am doing super awesome and it is so much fun trying to see how much I can save and how I can give myself a monetary limit and then see how close I get to it that week.
Seriously, with three kids and a husband, being a stay at home mom, this is my life. Just like in the corporate world it is all about saving money and getting things done for less or taking the lower bid. My job or one of my jobs is to save money. Get the best quality product for my family for the lowest price.
I do have to say I am doing a great job. I'll go give myself a pat on the back now and tell you about my third dry erase board another day.

SSSHHHHHHHH!
I was online while the photographer was publishing the pictures on his website that he took of our family. I was able to save them to my computer before he had a chance to lock and protect them. Is that prohibited? Or is it ok because basically he hadn't protected them yet? I know, it is probably wrong but the only way I am going to buy them is through him. Plus he is sending us all the pictures on a cd anyway! Maybe it is protected from saving online so Joe Schmo can't have pictures of my blonde cuties or the sexy big daddy to drool over on his computer!
Well, at any rate,
Here are a few pictures of my family...
This is all of us

My girls K, M, B and their cousin H

My brother, sis-n-law and niece

My sister and her husband

Myself with my brother, sister, Mom and Dad

All of us again

Review of the last month...

Since it has been like a WHOLE month since I have blogged I figured I'd give you a quick recap of what has been going on in the life of psycho-jac!

1. My baby turned 2!

2. K and her girl scouts go to Build-A-Bear to spend some of their earned cookie money!

3. My brother, sister-n-law and niece came home for a visit from Italy!!! This was a great time since we haven't seen them for almost a year!

4. Which gave my dad plenty of time to update his pictures he proudly carries around of his Girls!

5. Birthday party for B!

6. After about twenty years we finally had family pictures taken. Mom, Dad, Myself and my family, Sister and her hubby, Brother and his family! (I'll put up a picture or two when we get them). For now here's one from later that day...

7. Party at Our house. Gma and Gpa came into town to see the brother and family. Our house was volunteered to host mom's side of the family to get together.
The girls played outside with one of B's Bday present.

Later, We had family time...

8. Mother's Day. Ever since I was very young the women in the family have always gone out on Mother's day. For Dessert. No men, No kids allowed, unless you are breastfeeding. This year was no different. It is nice to go out with the women in the family and just have time to sit back and joke and laugh together, No Dessert Sharing on this night!

9. Just last Monday B was in the Hospital for two nights.

10. Sunday, during my brother and families going away party we rushed B to the ER where we spent a few hours becuase she was having a horrible allergic reaction to something we still haven't figured out what. (YES, that is hives and redness, allergic reaction NOT a sunburn! we didn't get a picture of her super swollen lips)

11. Sadly we said goodbye to my brother and his family on Tuesday. They went back to Italy to Navy life. We will be keeping them in our prayers and I hope you do too. Brother is headed to Iraq sometime in the future (if you know military life you know I can't tell you when). Sis-n-law and niece are trying to move back to FL while he will be deployed. It is a hard time for his family. ALL of us in the family. I LOVE YOU Brother, Sis-n-law and niece!
And I think that is the last month in a quick note.
I will add things here and there and some cute pictures sometime, maybe soon, maybe not!

in just a short time...

It has been CRAZY around here the past two weeks. I was sick for a week. It was terrible. So I finally get better, try to get caught back up with the housework because you know I didn't do any laundry while I was down! And I hardly did any cleaning. I just can't take that kind of crap while I don't feel good!! Plus I have the best hubby in the world that doesn't matter if their are toys all over the floor and it needs to be swept and dishes are starting to pile on the counter cuz the sinks are full!! Yup, he is the best!! Anyway, I started to feel better and then a week later, I get sick again. Friggin sick bug! This time though the girls had runny noses too and Steve got sick. Luckily now though we are all on the mend. I am much better just about 100% and the girls are doing all better. Steve is almost there, he needs his sense of smell back though!
SO!
This week has been an exciting one for our family. K had her first eye appointment on Tuesday and not surprising at all she needs glasses. Given our family history: Big Daddy and myself have worn glasses since elementary school. Both sets of our parents wear glasses and I think most of our grandparents all wore glasses. Not great chances for these beautiful girls to not have "four eyes". So after the Doc tells us that she is severely near sided, DUH! she couldn't even read the third line! and that is including the big E at the top!! So I get the RX and run like helk to get out of there because I know that there has got to be somewhere else to get a deal on glasses. So I call my mom, the best sale finder in the world. We end up at a glasses store and blah blah blah THE GIRL HAS GLASSES PEOPLE!!!! My baby, My first born, How can she be old enough to wear glasses?! Where has the time gone?! Seriously, she's seven! HOLY CRAPOLA PEOPLE!! I'm just not believing this right now!

BUT CAN I SAY... She is sooo friggin cute in her glasses. She got two pair! Yes, two. One pair has the, @*#&#, I forgot the name of it... but it has the lenses that change automatically to shades when you go outside. She is stylin' and profilin'!!!!

**The first pic was taken right when we picked up the first pair that was done, she was so excited.
**The first two pics is one pair and the last two pics are her second pair.
